We hit the road this morning, excited to see the signs that pointed out the original parts of the historic Route 66. After a few hours, we arrived in the charming and beautiful city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. The state capital has plenty of amazing architecture and the history and culture of the people is evident at every turn.
We stopped for lunch at the Plaza Café and ordered burritos, enchiladas and fajitas. It was terrific! We decided to head on to Albuquerque so that we could check it out before leaving for Arizona.
